Proper grading & drainage design is a critical component of any land development project to prevent flooding, manage cuts and fills, and reduce earthwork expenses.

UTILITY LAYOUT DESIGN

H+H works with the developer and local utility authorities to design on-site utility infrastructure to suit the needs of the development.

HYDROLOGIC & HYDRAULIC ANAYLSIS

Proper hydrologic & hydraulic analyses of the pre- and post-developed site is critical in evaluating and managing the affect the development has on local watershed.

WATER RESOURCES

Management of stormwater runoff, for both quality and quantity, is critical in preventing downstream flooding or impairment of critical water resources.

LOW IMPACT DEVELOPMENT (LID)

Utilizing creative LID practices, H+H creates site-specific stormwater management plans to maintain site hydrology, reduce runoff, improve water quality, and reduce construction costs.

SEPTIC DESIGN & REPAIR

H+H works closely with local and state health officials to prepare design plans for new septic systems, septic system repairs, and code-compliant septic areas for new homes and businesses.

SOIL EROSION & SEDIMENT CONTROL

Effective soil erosion & sediment controls are necessary throughout construction to prevent downstream waters from sediment pollution.

ROADWAY DESIGN & IMPROVEMENTS

Utility layout, roadway width, horizontal and vertical curvature, and adequate sightline distances are critical in creating a safe and efficient roadway network.

LOCAL & STATE PERMITTING

Serving as your liaison for all local and state permitting, H+H will work directly with the local municipalities and state agencies during plan development to ensure each project meets the local and state requirements.

VALUE ENGINEERING

During construction, H+H will work with the general contractor to evaluate design alternatives, substitutions, and modifications for the purposes of construction costs while ensuring design functionality is maintained.

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION

H+H offers construction administration services throughout construction to respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFI’s), review material and product submittals, provide construction sketches, and provide periodic observations to ensure compliance with the design plans.

SOIL TESTING & ANALYSIS

H+H works directly with local contractors to perform soil testing services to aid in the design of on-site septic systems and stormwater management facilities.
